Three Reasons Mini Sessions Are Best for Families

August 18, 2023

There are more than three reasons why mini sessions are best for families, but I will just narrow them down. It’s one of my fave things to do as a photographer which is capture so many great photos within a time frame. It’s also a great feeling to ensure families that these photos will be in their home to cherish forever. These three I am about to mention are certainly the BEST reasons!

Three Reasons Why Mini Sessions are Best for Families

  1. Time Commitment: Mini sessions are typically shorter in duration, usually around 10-20 minutes. This is especially advantageous for families with young children who may have limited attention spans. Shorter sessions help maintain the family’s energy and enthusiasm, leading to more genuine and joyful expressions in the photos.
  2. Affordability: Mini sessions are often priced at a more affordable rate compared to full-length sessions. This makes professional photography accessible to a wider range of families, allowing them to capture quality images without breaking the bank. For families on a budget, mini sessions provide an opportunity to obtain professional photos without a significant financial investment.
  3. Quick Results: Mini sessions are designed to be efficient, and photographers are skilled at capturing a variety of poses and shots in a short amount of time. As a result, families can expect to receive a collection of edited photos relatively quickly after the session. This is particularly beneficial if the photos are intended for specific events, holidays, or occasions.

These top three are the main reasons why I know minis are best for families. When it comes to my mini sessions my packages can offer 3 matted prints with matching digitals, 25 holiday cards (designs you get to pick). Locations are normally North of Louisiana. Main cities are take them are Shreveport, Bossier City, Benton, Doyline (for Lake Bistineau), and Haughton. Depending on the seasons some of my minis are themed and some don’t have decorations.

Below is a sneak peek of a family I took photos at the LSUS campus in Shreveport, LA during a mini session.
