I’m so excited to share this Bossier City, LA family session with twins with you today! When the Gregg Family asked me after our bible study about family portraits with their twin girls, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about family sessions especially when twins are involved!

Not only is mom and dad sharing a sweet moment with one child, but with two at the same time. I’m so happy I get to capture their bond together. I also have twin nieces and twin nephews, so I definitely understand the importance of capturing these moments.

Bossier City, LA Family Session with Twins

Originally, we had planned to do this family session a week before our Christmas session, but it was going to rain. Since the Christmas one was going to be inside my home studio I had suggested to swap sessions. It was best to keep the girl’s, Emily and Charlotte, health up since they were only 6 months old. I also knew it was going to be sunny the following week. Thankfully it stayed that way cause the weather was so nice outside at the Red River Wildlife Refuge Center.

I knew both parents were a little sleep deprived (who wouldn’t be with baby twins?!), so I quickly wanted capture beautiful bonding moments between the two. I was being mindful of their schedule, but also mindful of photos to capture for them. They were planning to having these photos displayed as wall art pieces and prints ordered by me in their homes!

Both parents, Laura and Daniel, looked fantastic by the way and they are seriously some of the sweetest parents you’ll ever meet with an amazing sense of humor. Mom, Laura, also dressed both girls with matching outfits with their named embroider on it. So cute!

One thing that was funny during the session was the dad used their fan from their car seat to get their attention. It was cute seeing their face light up when he blew it on them. I loved it!

Moments I Considered During Our Session

Most of the times I’ll see where mom and dad each take photos with all their kids together. Rarely you’ll see mom or dad take photos individual with each of them. In this case I wanted to make sure mom and dad got one on one photos with each girl, Emily and Charlotte, because most of their lives being twins the girls will be sharing a lot of things. I wanted to freeze time for both mom and dad to spend one on one time with them to focus primarily on each of them separately.

To the Gregg Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know y’all better. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
