I’m so excited to share this heirloom and personality portrait home studio session of Bossier City, LA with Toben today! When my good friend Hunter reached out about wanting heirloom portraits, I just couldn’t wait to take them! There’s something so special about heirloom portrait sessions. It freezes the time of your little one since they grow up so quickly. It’s usually how we always want to remember our babies when they are so little with their personality blossoming. Speaking of personality that’s when she gave me a nice surprise about wanting to capture his fun and quirky personality as well. Of course I was on board with the idea!

Heirloom and Personality Portraits Home Studio Session

It was a nice day outside, but the weather didn’t matter since it was inside my home studio! I remember her telling me she bought a 4T outfit for her two year old Toben cause they didn’t have his size, but it worked out perfectly cause it didn’t look too big. The outfit was ideal for the session and matched the theme nicely!

When it was time for the heirloom portraits which is what we did first it was so easy to get him to smile and laugh! For heirloom portraits I do a white backdrop. I had mom on one side while his dad was on the other side both getting him to look different ways while I worked my magic getting him to face forward at me for some shots. They played peek a boo and whatever else they could do to get his attention. It was so cute!

Hunter then asked me to do personality portraits, so I brought out my black backdrop and swung it over the white one since it was cloth. We had a good time making him do all kinds of things and as time went on he got more comfortable and his goody and cute self kept shining through! I loved being able to capture all these memorable moments for his mom, my good friend Hunter. I finalized the personality portraits in black and white because in my opinion to pin points his personality better without the distraction of color and it just has a nice touch to it!

After all was said and done she ended up buying two heirloom albums! One for each session then three wall art pieces from his heirloom session! To Toben’s parents, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your whole family is so sweet, and it was great getting to do this. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
