Sunflower Field Family Session | Bossier City LA Portrait Photographer | The Coleman Family

I’m so excited to share this Sunflower Field family session that was shot in Belcher, LA with you today! When the Coleman Family reached out about family photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about family sessions. Sunflower fields bloom between June-July in North Louisiana and I want to be able to capture sweet moments for families at this beautiful scenery!

Sunflower Field Family Session

This adorable family was apart of a mini session. The weather was actually really nice for the fact it was during a hot summer day! Humid, but the sun was not beaming down too harshly. The mom, Lauren, told me a sweet story about how she has always wanted to visit the Sunflower field. It has been a dream of hers! She really wanted maternity photos done at one, but it didn’t get to happen, so the fact that she got to have photos taken now with her daughter, Millie, felt so special to her. I loved hearing this story and seeing the excitement on her face! Because it was such a special moment for her I wanted to make sure I captured the best kind of photos for her. No pressure, right?!

At one point during the session you can hear the excitement in the mom’s voice when I had her photograph next to a sunflower. They are her absolute favorite flowers! She was thrilled the whole time especially since she got to share this experience with her daughter. Whenever I photographed Millie she had the biggest smile on her face. She’s extremely adorable and remembered me from our previous session in the Fall! One of the things she loved to do was run towards the camera. It’s a fun little game her and I have cause I like to pretend to run towards her as she runs back to me.

To the Coleman Family, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys even more. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!
